Late Payment:  Course Tuition must be paid by the set deadline date. There will be a $50.00 late fee added for students paying after the set deadline date.
 
There is a $100.00 discount for Military / Law Enforcement veterans.
 
Academy Dress Code
 
Day 1 - Business Attire - (Suit & Tie)
Group & Team photos will be taken.
Day 2 - IAEPA Academy Shirt and Tan 511 or Khaki Pants (IAEPA Academy Polo Shirt included in course fee).
Day 3 - Academy Uniform
Day 4 - Business Casual (Graduation)
 
What To Bring With You
 
  • Copy of Current Criminal Background Check. (This can be obtained through your local police department for a nominal fee).
  • Two Formal Passport Photos (Suit & Tie / Business Attire). Casual dress photos will not be accepted.
  • Tan Colored 511 Tactical Style Pants.
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • Navy Blue T-Shirt, Navy Blue Sweat Pants and Tennis Shoes.
  • Course Study Materials will be provided.
 
NOTE: IAEPA request a CURRENT Criminal Background Check that can be obtained through your local Police Department. Bring this with you to class. No Exceptions.
 
Travel Information
Flight Information for U.S and International Students
 
 
Students flying into Georgia will fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport located in Atlanta, GA.
IAEPA will provide transportation from the airport to hotel for students flying in between the hours of 11am - 5pm, and transportation to the IAEPA training academy each morning. An agent will be assigned to you during your stay to assist you. Simply email us your flight schedule and we will arrange your transportation from the airport to hotel and IAEPA academy.

Take 285 East to 85 North towards Greenville to 316 (Lawrenceville).  Take 316 (2 miles) to the Sugarloaf exit, turn left. Take first Right at signal light unto Lakes Pwky (See Gwinett Technical College on left), go 1/2 mile, academy located on the left. Enter main entrance and keep straight to second parking lot near rear of building.
Note: Hotels (Comfort Suites and Hampton Inn) are located less than 1 mile past the training academy at signal light.

Course Cancellation Policy 
Tuition and Registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
If student notifies IAEPA prior to the start date of class to cancel, the paid fee(s) will go towards the next scheduled EP course. IAEPA reserves the right to cancel any course at any time.
IAEPA is not responsible for any expense incurred by students due to course cancellation. If IAEPA cancels a course, all paid fees will be refunded within 30 days.

Georgia Code 43-38-16 Penalty
 
Any person who engages in the private detective business or private security business or offers, pretends, or holds himself out as eligible to engage in the private detective business or private security business and who is not legally licensed or registered under this chapter shall be guity of a misdemeanor. Each day or fraction of a day that he practices in violation of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense.
 
IAEPA and the Law Enforcement & Security Specialists Private Training Academy stays current on all State Laws, Codes and Regulations governing Security, Private Detective & Investigations and Firearms in the State of Georgia.

In the state of Georgia, you must be certified, licensed and working under a licensed private detective agency as a 
Private Detective/Investigator to work Executive Protection.
This course is intended for licensed private detectives or anyone wishing to provide executive protection services in the state of Georgia.
 
If you take the 4 Day Executive Protection Course, this alone does not authorize you to work executive protection in the state of Georgia. You must take the 70 hour state mandated Private Detective Course and be certified and licensed as a Private Detective Investigator, working under a licensed Private Detective / Investigation Company. 
 
Check Your State Laws as They Apply To Working
Security in your State. Your state may require additional
training and certifications to work EP.
