IAEPA Firearm Basics Course
 
 
 
This course is appropriate for individuals who want to learn the basics of firearm handling and fundamentals.
 
 
 
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude needed for owning and using a firearm safely. Students will learn about the firearms parts, operation, ammunition, gun safety and handling, selecting a firearm and much more.
 
This course also covers types of firearms (i.e., Pistols - single and double revolver actions and semi-automatic actions). This results in a much broader knowledge of the firearm type.
This is a one day course which includes range time. Textbook and course materials are provided.

  • Shooting Fundamentals
  • Firearm Laws and Licensing
  • How to Select, Clean and Store a Firearm
  • Practical Live Fire on the Range (Ammunition and firearm will be provided). May bring your own firearm.
